"Andy" was Heidi's first purchase for an event horse.  He was purchased as a 6 year old that had raced a few times but had then been sitting in a field for two years.  Andy truly turned out to be the perfect horse for an aspiring eventer that was still learning the ropes.  Though both horse and rider were quite green, Andy was a patient and honest horse that was always trying to do the right thing.  In the end, although he was not the most talented or skilled of event horses, he still taught Heidi all the basics of eventing and they competed together to the novice level.  Andy is one of those special horses that allows you, as a rider, to make mistakes and then learn from them, and not hold it against you!

Andy was eventually retired as an event horse and was sold on to a young rider to do dressage with.
