Although Marcus had 25 starts on the racetrack, you'd never guess he'd spent any time there, he's completely laid back and easy going!  Marcus has evented at the novice level and is as steady as they come!  He has a lot more 'whoa' then 'go' and is a horse you can take anywhere and rely on him to be calm and sensible.  He has a great personality and wants to be your best friend! He would make a great junior, adult amateur or novice rider horse.  He has been hanging out in the pasture for the last six months, so although he is a little out of shape right now, he'll come around in no time!  He is point and shoot on cross country and rides in a snaffle bit.  With a little bit of work and time this guy will be a very fancy boy for someone, or will make an equally nice trail riding partner or every day fun horse as he is so safe to be around!  Marcus has recently been giving lessons on the flat and over small fences and is as gentle and forgiving as they come!

From his new owner:

Marcus has quickly adapted to his new home in California .  Since his arrival, he has overcome his fear of the Icelandic horses, our narrow cross ties, and that scary place over by nowhere in particular.  Marcus has a unique style of sunbathing (flat on his back with his tongue hanging out) and he attracts quite a lot of attention walking around in that new pink sweat sheet his mom got on super sale at the local tack shop.  Marcus has no problem landing an extra treat or two from the friendly locals and he returns the favor by putting in an honest days work whenever it’s asked of him.  In the past three weeks, Marcus has revealed himself to be a kind, gentle soul.  He’s smart, brave, and everything I was looking for in my first event horse.

Thanks guys,

Genevieve
